Anthology Submissions

Eibonvale Press is OPEN for submissions to a new anthology.

Eibonvale Press is announcing a call for works for an anthology on the theme of Lighthouses, which is to be edited by Sophie Essex. At the Lighthouse is intended to be a fiction anthology which must feature a lighthouse, either physical, imaginary, or tangential in each story. The definition of lighthouse is yours, but it must engage with the concept. Think associative/dissociative, think Ray Bradbury’s The Foghorn, think Pharos by Alice Thompson, think Woolf, think Moore, think VanderMeer, think the films of 1998, 2016 or 2019, think beckoning, think warning, think outside the bulb.

All announcements will be made through the Eibonvale Newsletter or blog. So I recommend joining me there and subscribing to get the latest news as it breaks.

General Submissions

Currently, Eibonvale Press is invitation only for general book submissions.

This is not a condition that I particularly like, since I always valued being open to new authors. However, sheer busyness means that I have to keep careful control of the press to avoid getting swamped. I hope to open for submissions again in the future when I have the space to do so. All announcements will be made through the Eibonvale Newsletter or blog. So I recommend joining me there and subscribing to get the latest news as it breaks.

Chapbook Submissions

Eibonvale Press is CLOSED for chapbook submissions but will be opening again when the current batch are completed.

The Chapbook Line consists of short works (up to c10,000 words). I hope to keep this open for submissions fairly frequently since one aim of the line is to find new writers. Keep an eye on the Eibonvale Newsletter or blog for when we will be opening again. Click below to download the guidelines and follow the Eibonvale blog/newsletter for the latest info.

Art Submissions

Please note all Eibonvale artwork is done in-house, so I am not currently able to accept artist submissions.
